Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Heather was raised in Dallas, Texas by her New York City native mother and Ohio native father. Heather left her Southern roots to head west toward California, after a year long post-graduation European backpacking adventure.
Heather worked for a San Francisco based Advertising firm during the Dot-com boom and fall. At which time, she was faced with the decision of leaving her cushy salary and 401K, to roll the sparkling dice toward her teenage dream of becoming a singer, songwriter and performer. Since then, she has never looked back.
Heather has been performing professionally over the last seven years and has made special appearances in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Austin, TX and Milan, Italy.
Heather was awarded "2007 Honorable Mention" for The Billboard Songwriting Competition and "2006 Song of The Year" for the West Coast Songwriter's International Song Competition. Her original composition entitled "Sense of Me", which won in both competitions, was produced and co-written with legendary songwriter Bonnie Hayes (Bonnie Raitt) and cellist and songwriter, Matthew Schoening.
Heather has opened for Fiona Apple and Tori Amos at The Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.
Heather has co-written and recorded with Keb Mo’, Bonnie Hayes (Bonnie Raitt) and Narada Michael Walden (Jeff Beck, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston).
Heather has performed at the legendary South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX. In addition she has performed at The San Francisco International Film Festival, as well as for the fire department at Ground Zero on 9-11. She has performed alongside the world-renowned San Francisco Glide Ensemble Gospel Choir, home to Cecil William's Glide Church and at Michael Beckwith’s Agape Church in Los Angeles, CA.
She currently lives in Santa Monica, CA.
